I completed my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021. I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). When I was newly licensed, I worked regularly with two supervisors as well as working for a year with another therapist as a mentor who was familiar with the intersection of spirituality and clinical mental health. I continue to seek regular supervision and training to improve the quality of services I provide.
I trained in Emotion Focused Therapy which combines Person-Centered and Gestalt therapy with a strong research evidence base to confirm its effectiveness.
The past couple of years I have attended conferences and trainings by the International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis.
I belong to the Association for Spiritual Integrity to support my professional interest in both spiritual and mental health integration and spiritual teacher abuses. I also belong to the American Counseling Association which has published one of my articles on the Hearing Voices Network that is archived here: https://ctarchive.counseling.org/2020/03/hearing-voices-a-human-rights-movement-and-developmental-approach-to-voice-hearing/
I offer services to adult individuals and couples in Maine.
